David E. Burday, M.D.

Medical Degree: Albany Medical College

 

Undergraduate Degree: Tufts University

 

A native of Rochester, NY, Dr. Burday completed his undergraduate degree in History and Psychology at Tufts University in 1987.  He worked as a Special Education Teacher and football/lacrosse coach in the Massachusetts Public Schools for 7 years.  In 1996 he completed his pre-medical education at the Harvard University extension school and then went on to Albany Medical College where he graduated Cum Laude in 2001.

 

Dr. Burday completed his residency training in Urology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  He is one of the earliest residents to have trained in the field of robotic and laparoscopic prostatectomy.

 

Dr. Burday sees patients at the Tallahassee clinic and the satellite clinic in Marianna and has operative privileges at both hospitals in Tallahassee and Jackson Hospital in Marianna.  He is licensed in the state of Florida and is a member of the American Urological Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Capital Medical Society and multiple other organizations.  Dr. Burday’s wife Dr. Shelby Blank is a surgeon with Tallahassee Surgical Associates.
