Scott B. Sellinger, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Scott B. Sellinger, M.D., F.A.C.S. was born in Lima, Ohio, and raised in upstate New York. He attended Syracuse University and graduated in 1982. After moving to Gainesville, Florida, he attended the University of Florida School of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine with honors in 1986. He remained in Gainesville to complete his surgical internship and urological residency. He was named surgical intern of the year in 1987, and received the Harris Award for the outstanding urology resident in 1989.

 

During his training in Gainesville, he participated in many lectures and presentations at urological regional and national meetings. He moved to Tallahassee in 1991 to join Southeastern Urological Center. Dr. Sellinger served as Tallahassee Memorial's Chief of Urology from 1993-2000. He was the medical editor for WTXL-TV 27 from 1993 to 1996. He is a member of the American Urological Association, and serves on the Board for the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the past president of the Florida Urological Society and remains an active member and past president of the Capital Medical Society and remains an active member. He holds an appointment on the Clinical Faculty of the University of Florida School of Medicine Department of Surgery. Dr. Sellinger speaks fluent Spanish. He and his wife, Jinger, have two children.
